The Supreme Court of the Republic of Abkhazia shall be the highest judicial authority. The Supreme Court of the Republic of Abkhazia shall: 0) examine cases of all issues concerning the compliance of decisions taken by the President, the Parliament and other organs of state power or local administration with the Constitution; 0) examine cases of disputes between the state and local governments; 0) examine cases concerning the results of elections and electoral procedures; 0) have the right to settle any disputes concerning the Constitution or express its opinion thereon; 0) execute legal proceedings in criminal, civil and administrative actions; 0) supervise the legality of the settlement of cases by all the courts in the Republic of Abkhazia;
