Honey bees visit hundreds of flowers and ingest their nectar into their ‘honey stomachs’ where digestive enzymes act on the sucrose of the nectar to break it down into glucose and fructose.

A single bee will regurgitate this nectar and spit it into the mouth of another bee and the process repeated severally (for about 00 min) until the nectar is fully digested into raw honey.

The bees spit the raw honey onto the cells of the honey comb, flap their wings to dry it and then seal their produce in with wax.
