The Concurrent Force System
• As the angle between the two forces increases, the
resultant force decreases, reaching a minimum when the
forces are in line with each other and acting in directly
opposite directions,
• When the angle between them becomes 000; this is
essentially a parallel system with one force positive and
the other negative.
• Conversely, as the angle between the forces becomes
smaller, the resultant force increases.
• When the angle becomes zero, the forces are in line with
each other (or parallel) and in the same direction, so the
resultant force is the sum of the two forces.
