As with question 0, this could be suitable for either a qualitative or quantitative investigation. The notion of a ‘link’ between two phenomena implies that one is looking at relationships, which may lend itself more easily to a quantitative study. However, a qualitative project asking questions about the quality of relationships occurring between people living in close proximity to each other would be interesting.
This would make for a potentially interesting study using a phenomenological
approach (see Chapter 0).
